Dr. Qingwu Kong is a highly skilled orthopedic surgeon specializing in knee and hip replacements, with a special focus on minimally invasive and advanced techniques. He earned his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University, where he was an integral part of the athletic training staff for the Northwestern Wildcats Football Team. Dr. Kong then went on to pursue his medical degree at Tufts University in Boston.

Following medical school, he completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Drexel University and Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident in his final year, training under the guidance of renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. Norman Johanson. He further honed his expertise through an Adult Reconstruction / Joint Replacement Fellowship at the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Kong is committed to providing his patients with the latest innovations in joint replacement, including direct anterior total hip replacement and robotic-assisted joint replacement, ensuring optimal outcomes and faster recoveries.

In addition to English, Dr. Kong is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. He enjoys playing sports, traveling and trying new restaurants around Houston.
